Who is Andrew?
In 2016 after hearing a speech during a run, which I still listen to daily, I found the inspiration to give photography everything I could and I never looked back.
With no formal training, no professional background, nor a mentor to guide me on this journey, I jumped right into the deep end. Emailing dozens of bands a week, watching YouTube, reading blogs and web forums, I soaked up what I could. Slowly I began shooting concerts on my own and after meeting local photographers I was given the opportunity to join a local publication - Twin Cities Media.
The rest, is history.
What is Northstar Imagery?
Northstar Imagery is a Minneapolis-based professional photography service with Andrew behind the lens. The work is driven by passion and obsession. Andrew works with clients in many industries and genres including live music, events, branding, sports, corporate engagement, families, senior portraits, and architecture. The breadth of work and clients provides a unique and wide-ranging perspective as the work tells the story that clients envision while finding unique perspectives and moments, and doing so in a professional manner to produce quality images.
The mindset is simple. Preserve the moments as they are fleeting and none is like another. Nor should any photograph be treated as such. Andrew personally handles every image shared or published. And will continue to do so.
Why does Northstar use ‘we’?
The belief is that Northstar is not Andrew as a brand. It is a photography business that focuses on quality and professionalism. That’s why it’s not about just Andrew, nor should Andrew be a brand. We, Northstar Imagery, are the business behind the high-quality photos. Even if Andrew is the one behind the camera.
